Summer can be fickle, but it does offer a little pampering. We get used to lighter clothing, and warm days lull us to sleep. However, there comes a time when the sun forms ever smaller semicircles, and it insidiously gets colder. Autumn is approaching, and we not only need to dress warmly, but also make sure our bodies are well prepared for rainy and windy days. It's time to reach for vitamins more often, which improve our fitness and, above all, our immunity.

Vitamins and their importance for the body

First, it's worth starting with the fact that they are essential for the proper functioning of our body. They support the work of many organs and have metabolic regulating properties. Some vitamins are stored by the body. This group includes fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamins A, D, E, and K. These soluble vitamins, such as B vitamins, vitamins C, PP, and H, must be regularly supplied to the body in various forms. Most often, this occurs through food or special preparations.

Why should we support ourselves with vitamins, especially in autumn?

In autumn, vacation memories are especially vivid. Immediately after summer comes the time when it gets darker, the days shorter, and it's easier to catch an infection. In addition, autumnal melancholy, a lack of motivation, and a lack of energy can affect us. Vitamins not only strengthen us as a preventative measure (vitamin C) but also give us the will to live (vitamin "happiness" – D).

Vitamin C in the fight for good immunity

It is one of the most essential vitamins. At the same time, it is readily available and even necessary for our bodies. Its properties enable the sealing of blood vessels and the destruction of free radicals. Vitamin C has anti-inflammatory effects. It is involved in the production of white blood cells that fight unwanted bacteria. A daily dose of 1 g is recommended.

Stimulate your body – B vitamins

The symptoms we suffer from during the long autumn days are increased sleepiness and general weakness. This can be caused by a B vitamin deficiency. In addition to taking vitamin C, it's also worth including vitamin B in your daily diet. Supplementing with this vitamin helps combat autumnal melancholy and lack of energy. It also boosts immunity and supports the functioning of the immune system.

Autumnal decline in mental health – Vitamin D is the answer

Vitamin D is present in our bodies due to skin synthesis, which can occur through the sunlight supplied to the body. In autumn, there is simply less light, and the problem of vitamin D deficiency becomes apparent. The result is that we become more tired, feel sleepy, and our mood deteriorates. For this reason, it is worthwhile to supplement with vitamin D in autumn and winter.

Autumn truly presents us with a greater challenge. However, we shouldn't throw up our hands. A good attitude can originate from the right amount of vitamins supplied to the body through appropriate supplements. The same applies to immunity. If we make sure we don't lack vitamin C , B vitamins, or vitamin D, we will survive the autumn and winter days much more comfortably.
