Psyllium is a common plant whose seeds produce large amounts of dietary fiber (mainly insoluble). In practice, however, Babka Płesznik did not receive the wide circulation and recognition she deserved in Poland. In the countries of south-western Europe, babka płesznik is used as a mucus material that aids in bowel work and bowel movements. It is recommended for the elderly, pregnant women and children. Flea seeds are gentle, effective and harmless.
The plantain's husk works by expanding the seeds in the presence of water and producing significant amounts of mucilage. Experiments have shown that the slime content in the scales is around 10-15%. The presence of water allows the scales to expand up to 20 times their volume. Taking psyllium flaxseed scales causes the scales in the intestine to increase in volume, which stimulates peristalsis, and the slimy consistency facilitates the excretion of faeces. This mechanism is very effective and does not lead to habituation.
An additional beneficial effect is the action of the aucubin contained in the peels of Babka Płesznik. In addition, this raw material contains inventin and emulsin, protein, starch, 3% fatty oil and some tannin compounds.

2 capsules daily.
