Cascara sagrada is an herb listed in the American Pharmacopoeia XXII, where it is described as the dried bark of the Rhcimnus purshiana tree found in the Northeast Pacific.
It has excellent laxative properties while being very gentle. It only causes slight worming of the small intestine. Therefore, it is unlikely to cause side effects (characteristic of other laxatives) such as addiction. After prolonged use, the intestines will function normally, since Cascara Sagrada has a tonic effect. The herb also has beneficial effects on any nerves it comes in contact with.
Vitamins of the B complex, calcium, potassium, manganese are contained in Cascara Sagrada. The action of this remedy stimulates the work of the stomach, liver and pancreas, counteracting the inactivity of the large intestine with constipation. DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Take 1 capsule before bedtime with a full glass of water. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
The product cannot be used as a substitute for a varied diet. A varied diet and a healthy lifestyle are recommended.
NOTE: The product is intended for adults. Do not use the product if you develop diarrhea, loose stools or abdominal pain as Cascara Sagrada can make these symptoms worse and thus become harmful. Consumption of the product during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.
