Couscous tastes delicious both sweet and salty. It's worth using for dinner, it's a healthier substitute for potatoes or pasta. You make a salad out of it. It can also be successfully used in soups instead of rice. It goes well with vegetables, but also with meat (e.g. stews). You can also easily make a dessert out of it. With the addition of honey and nuts, it tastes great. Its versatility makes it an integral part of your kitchen. It's worth buying a few packs right away. All household members will surely love it. Below are some proven recipes using couscous.
Instant couscous is a product that has undergone heat pre-treatment. It can be eaten without cooking. Simply pour hot water over the instant grits, wait about 10 minutes and you're done. On the shelves of stores we can also find couscous, which must be thermally processed. How to cook such porridge? Remember that it increases in volume. It is worth choosing a larger vessel for this. The porridge should be poured with cold water. A ratio of 1:1 should be maintained. Then the couscous will be fluffy. The grains should not stick together after cooking. You can add a small amount of oil, salt and other spices. Paprika powder turns the grits red. The addition of turmeric gives it an orange color. When everything starts to boil, cover the pan with a lid and leave for 5 minutes. The couscous should have absorbed all of the water by this time. All you have to do is add a little butter, heat and enjoy the delicious taste of this porridge. Smacznego.
