Green coffee is raw, unroasted coffee beans. These beans have not yet experienced the pyrolysis process, which is the breakdown of carbohydrates and fats, so they do not have the same taste and aroma as black coffee. However, the caffeine content does not change.
The coffee beans are light green in color, hence the name of the product. Raw, unroasted coffee tastes much milder, more acidic and almost without bitter substances.
The green coffee offered by Intenson is characterized by a spicy taste. The green bean infusion has a tart, sour taste and doesn't have the characteristic smell of coffee.
