Coconut chips are not only a great offer for lovers of exotic flavors. They're also a healthier alternative to the sweet snacks our kids eat so often. This product is made from the nutrient-rich coconut meat. It is characterized by a fine, slightly sweet taste and an exceptional crispiness. Therefore, it is widely used in the daily kitchen of each of us. In addition, this product has been sealed in a convenient packaging. Thanks to this, we can take coconut chips with us everywhere.
The coconut, from which the aromatic pulp that forms the basis of the chips comes, is the fruit of an unusual tree (coconut palm) that can grow up to 30 meters high. Its leathery and spreading leaves extend its arms from 4 to 6 meters in length to its impressive size. The fruit of the coconut palm is a well-known product. However, it is only in the last decade or so that they have begun to occupy an extremely important place not only in the food industry but also in modern diet therapy. Coconuts are round with a hard brown shell with stiff hairs on it. Interestingly, they can weigh up to 3 kilograms. However, it's important to know that the most important part of this fruit is its pulp and coconut water, which is packed with electrolytes that can effectively quench your thirst on even the hottest of days. Coconut pulp is sweet and high in (MCT) medium-chain fatty acids. It is the source of today's most popular products including: oil, cream, milk, shavings and VIVIO crunchy coconut chips.
The coconut palm, which produces valuable nuts, occurs naturally off the coast of tropical beaches. To grow properly, this tree needs both consistently high temperatures, plenty of natural sunlight, and regular rainfall. Therefore, the cultivation of coconut palms in northern and central Europe is practically impossible.
Interestingly, although the diners on Polish tables are relatively new of late, coconut has been one of the most important dietary items in the Pacific Islands region for thousands of years. There is a reason the palm tree that bears this extraordinary fruit is called the tree of life. The coconut pulp from which the crispy chips are made is not only delicious, but also an excellent treasure trove of valuable nutrients, vitamins and minerals. At this point, medium-chain fatty acids, carbohydrates and protein deserve special attention. It is also worth knowing that coconut chips can provide our body with minerals such as potassium, calcium and iron. They also contain significant amounts of vitamin C.
