The preparation contains 1 mg of melatonin in 1 capsule in the form of white pellets, in which the substance is bound to microcrystalline cellulose with the MATRIX formula.

This causes the substance not to dissolve completely immediately in the digestive tract, but to be released continuously over a period of up to 5 hours.

Why melatonin in MATRIX form?

A matrix formulation was used for this preparation, which is employed in the pharmaceutical industry for the production of medicines. This solution allows the gradual release of melatonin over a period of up to 5 hours, thereby extending the effect of the substance on sleep quality.

The effect of melatonin

Melatonin is responsible for regulating the sleep-wake rhythm in our body and is produced in the pineal gland of the brain from the amino acid tryptophan.
